Denim, Over sized sweaters and Sorrel Boots!

Personal shopper, wardrobe consultant, spring fashion, styleup

It's February 2018 and snow is on the ground. I pull out my Tall wedged sorrel boots, (which every fashionable Idahoan woman should have) and get my day started. Of course you can't forget your dark wash Joes skinny jeans and a cozy grey side slit high low top. This is my favorite basic winter outfit. It's cute, easy and warm. When it's really cold, I hide some nice 32 degree heat $10 under garments I bought at Costco! I do like to use Costco on occasion for certain pieces.

Let's start with your denim. Denim protects you from the cold and looks great. My favorite denim brands are Paige Denim, Hudson Jeans and Citizens of Humanity. I think every fashionista should have at least 2 pair of dark wash denims. Also one pair of Skinnys to fit nicely in your boots, a pair of straight legs for some booties and a nice long boot cut for your stilettos. The boot cut is extra since you probably won't need them very often. I like designer denim because they have a beautiful fit. If you care for them properly, they last forever and they're so soft.

Care tip: Please wash inside out and lay flat to dry. This will greatly extend the life of your denim.

Cute winter thermals make great tops when its cold. My favorite brand for cute thermals is Free People. They make the best chunky sweaters too!

Over-sized pieces are the current winter fashion obsession right now. When shopping for your oversize sweaters, pay attention to how the sweater drapes down your body.
